Alone Time

Franklin and I finally had a little time to ourselves.

We had my mom watch baby while we got lunch and went to see The Artist.

This was the first time in three months that I have been away from Daisy longer than 20  minutes.

Bollywood Love Letters

Isn't there something a little magical in receiving a hand written letter?

Especially when its from your lover.

Franklin went to world market a month or so ago and bought me a few things

just for no reason or to make me feel better.

And these paper scrolls were one of the things.

(made in India & used by royalty to write love letters or important notes)

& a not so special day (today)

I decided I would write him a love letter. 

(So I may have cried the whole time I was writing it)

But I just wanted to let him know how much I love and appreciate him

 & all that sappy stuff.

(I may have started crying while writing that)

... This pregnancy thing has made me one big emotional mess.

I'm A Jerk Cookies

So I feel like a complete jerk.

I was whiney, hormonal, and over worried today.

(sadly enough I am still all of these things)

But poor Franklin received the butt of all my craziness today

But its nothing says "I'm sorry" like Halloween themed cookies right?

Then I started to blog and the dog ate like 4....

F word.

If its not one thing its another...

So the celebration for my camera returning to me was short lived...

I have the camera but now the internet is not functioning as it was.

Grrrr.

But I don't want to leave you empty handed.

Poor Franklin probably got beat up for his tube socks, shorts, and tennisshoes.

I am so excited.

I keep thinking about  my little lady's future first day of school pictures.

Look how cute they all are.

I LOVE family pictures.

Especially when Franklin makes faces like this...

Speaking of halloween costumes...

If all goes according to plan I will have a brand new baby right before Halloween

Delayed Date Night

So here's the story...

My camera has pixels missing from the view screen

and so there are these huge black spots when I take a picture.

The warrantee ends today so I have to post mark it by today

To send it far far far away.

and be without a camera for God only knows how long.

So I went a little picture crazy last night.

Ok so tell me if this has happened to you?

You are trying to surprise your significant other..

And you try to prepare everything for when they get home.

and you guesstimate the time.

But then they either come home too early and ruin everything

and catch you in your undies

Or you're sitting around for hours trying to preserve everything

eating half of your meal because you're too hungry to wait.

Yeah that was last night. At least it still looked pretty <3

The Second of July?

So we were scared out of our mind tonight

We heard huge bangs...

Then I sent Franklin out to investigate

and heard several small pops.

I thought he was getting shot.

HA. 

Who does fireworks on the second?

They were literally right behind our house. Even the dogs watched from the bed of the truck.

For Breakfast in bed, with some yummy cinnamon raisin french toast with an appearance from some blackberries.

I wouldn't really let him eat it in bed... its all syrupy and messy.

Oh thats not all... and for lunch....

An awesome Greek Pasta! Man! I wish I had some artichoke hearts...

I don't intend on cooking dinner... HA!

Pizza Date

Love and Marriage

Look how beautiful and handsome my grandma & grandpa were when they got married.

Is it just me or does my grandpa look like a total gangster? 

I need to interview my grandpa and ask him questions about his wedding day.

I wonder what he did before the wedding?

I wonder how he asked grandma to marry him.

For some reason this picture reminds me of an old time-y wedding picture. especially Franklin and the way his shoulders are shrugged up.

I am glad I married Franklin.

He makes me happy.

wow. He looks so young in this picture marriage really has aged him.

La Vida Bella

I should probably be working on my assignment for school...

but who does that now days?

Besides I got an awesome genius husband to read and edit my papers.

Life is good. I have been having so much fun lately. When Franklin and I both don't have work we go to get donuts and then afterwards we go to the park with puppy and play frisbee and hit a ball for him to chase.

So here's the angle! Secretly my present to Franklin for our anniversary is secretly for me too. So we had the clunker of all clunkers for a TV. And I wanted a new entertainment center.

Specifically this one... But our TV was too deep for this stand. So I had to get a new TV to get a new stand. AFTER I get the stand I am going to get the rest of the pieces to finish the "set"

and this to bridge over the top. Get the picture?? Oh yes, I definitely have big plans for the future!

Oh PS Franklin and I are getting our pictures taken by some cute and trendy photographers tomorrow and I can't wait! I am still figuring out what I am going to wear!

When Somer has a day off...

It's not very often that I have a day off,

but when I do, boy is it a day off.

So I went to Target and Best Buy and Arrested Development (one of our favorites) was on sale.

So being the awesome wife that I am I bought them and put them as a present for me... I mean Franklin.

Then we went through our "end of the world" boxes and added some of my contributions.

(mostly lady products...)

Then we went to Ikea where we bought lots of random things.

And we also bought another bookcase.

You know its bad when you have two big bookcases and one half bookcase and thats still not enough...

And we bought an end table because our living room was looking pretty lonely without our big Christmas tree in it.

So, in conclusion, on a day I don't work I spend lots o' money. So I always need to be working.

What the Duce?

What happens when you come home from a long night of work and find this?

and then he tells you to get all dressed up?

my first question was, "Are we going to see bishop?....I'm not going."

"No."

Then I ask him..."are you pregnant?"

"I don't think that is possible."

Then I ask "Are you going to die?"

"No, I would send that to you in a text."

He surprised me and said he wanted to do something nice for me.

So he filled up my tank, bought me a diet coke, and some ding-dongs.

we drove for an hour talking about everything.

We came to the other side of town right on the edge of the desert.

Then we went for a nice walk (we kept trying to see the lunar eclipse but it was too darn cloudy)

Then we exchanged Christmas presents.

Over all it was an awesome night :))

An Ode to my Husband

I wish I could show everyone how awesome Franklin is. He is truly amazing, especially since he puts up with me :) I was thinking about how great he is yesterday when I went to work for him and I just wanted to Thank him for everything.

Franklin is one of the hardest workers I know! he works so hard so that we can have some extra money                                      (My Hero)

to save and so that we can go buy Zombieland and ice cream

at Walmart. He is such a handy man, he is always picking up extra work.

One time he even worked forty hours within three days. I am so lucky that he has a good job and he wants a better life for us.

Another thing that really makes Franklin great for me is that he is so darn smart! He knows so much! I love talking with him about anything and everything, he really knows his stuff. He also knows a lot about history which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. He is so brilliantly creative, he will come home from working and he will have a whole idea for a story all written down in his journal, all written during his lunch break. YEESH! If I could do that I would be pulling a Stephenie Meyer right now!! And I can always ask him questions about anything I am confused about or want to know more about.... like whats going to happen in a movie that we both haven't ever seen before :))

He's goofy. He can be silly with me and not always be serious. He watches Disney movies with me and he can always make me laugh. We like being happy together and silly together and we don't care what anyone thinks.

He is a very good person. He is very honest and doesn't do destructive things (like smoking or drinking). He is very kind and helps others. He is also very objective in his thinking. *cough cough sexy cough*

Again, he puts up with me... that's a big one. haha. He always plays along with my crazy ideas and gets me water when I cry that I am parched or that its contaminated. He carries my purse when I need to use both hands or when its heavy. He kisses me when he leaves for work. And he always lets me know that he thinks I am pretty.

And he plays music. Which is always very sexy.  :) and buys lots of books for me

How did I get so darn lucky??

The Floor is LAVA!!!!!!

So last night Franklin and I were wrestling and I asked him if he locked the door and he said no so he started to get up to go lock the door and I didn't want him to leave so I said, "BUT, the floor is lava!!!" he got up and locked the door anyway. Then he came back and I was about to leave and go get something to drink and before I got off the bed Franklin says, "The floor is lava!" so screamed and got to the middle of the bed! Then Franklin started kissing me, and I said, "NOOOO THE LAVA MONSTER WANTS ME AS HIS LAVA BRIDE!!!"  Franklin let me go and said defensively, "fine, I'll give you guys the juicer..."(we got two as wedding presents)  I replied with, "You're the lava monster, dumbass!(jokingly)"
He understood... So the lava monster kept "attacking" me. And I kept attempting to get to the "steping basket" which was our laundry basket but the lava monster was to scorching hot and strong. hehehe. I am pretty sure I never want to grow up.
