A quilt for daisy

So I started this quilt when Daisy was in my tummy.

Here is the link to the starting product and a picture of the original that I got the idea from.  So after three years I finally picked it up again, finished the circles, quilted, & finished it. 

I feel so good and accomplished. I am really bad about finishing long projects.

Two years ago today I had my little leading lady. She has grown so much and she is truely a joy. I love her more everyday. 

She has grown so much in the past year!

You want to know my favorite room of the house?

Yup Daisy's world.

It is still a work in progress, 

but each time I find something it adds more love and character to my little bugs room.

A lot of the stuff is from goodwill, garage sales, or even home made.

PS. I had to clean her room about 20 times before I could even take any pictures.

Every time I would clean her room she would be right behind me pulling her books down, or taking out ever piece of play food she has.

PPS. You know its bad when your child's play kitchen sink looks a little like your own kitchen sink.

We can feel it slowly starting to cool down.

Soon we will be able to go to the park all the time!

& hopefully be big enough to go on some of the rides.

But I think Daisy's favorite part was watching the big kids play.

The months just seem to be flying by.

I can't believe my little lady is turning into a big girl.

Mommy Moments

Its hard to believe that I am a mom.

I have pretty much dreamed about it my whole life.

All I have ever wanted to be was a mom.

It is weird. She feels like an extension of me.

(Like an arm)

I can't believe I made that. (and that she came out of me. gross.)

It is unreal that she is finally here.

It all went by so fast.

Its hard to explain it all but it is all so good.

Franklin covered the speaker when he was recording so the audio isn't the best,

but you can still kind of hear it.

You get the idea though...

It makes my heart melt.

So I was having fun taking pictures in the car

while I waited for my lunch.

& I got this gem.

I am excited because I think I look like Christina Hendricks.

My hair even looks red.

(which makes me want to dye my hair red even more!)

Christmas Week: Part 4

Real Christmas

We took a walk with Daisy in her new Red Wagon.

Then we went over to Franklin's Parents house that night

I can't believe how much they spoiled us!

We are so lucky to have two great families.

Then we tried to coordinate all the grandkids pictures in their new pajamas with their pillowpet presents!

If its not one its the other....

Ha its so hard to organize five kids five and under.

The last picture makes me laugh cause they were all just done taking pictures.
