24 weeks yesterday

So if you're like me this is how you think...
24 weeks? that means I am almost 25 weeks.
which means I am almost 30 weeks,
which is three quarters of the way there
which means I am going to have a baby soon!

PS. If I made cute aprons like this would anyone buy them?

Just this style with different cute patterns?
I should try making some tomorrow... so I won't die of boredom.

Growing bellies and blankets

This weekend has been the most productive weekend of my life.
Talk at church, clean house, 9 hour work day, & cooking every meal.

Now for a baby belly update.

This was the biggest picture I got. ha of everrrything.

Is it just me or is this kinda small for 23 almost 24 weeks? it just looks like I am bloated from eating too many eggs.

Look, very sexy Paul Newman looks as big as I do after eating 50 eggs. Jerk.

But look what else is growing my baby.. blanket.
<3 yay for sitting and hand sewing a whole row to be machine sewed together.

Circles of every shape...

Ha my mom was talking about a bracelet
and she said it had circles of every shape.
& I was like don't you mean size?
....
a learning experience :)
like when I told her it was backgammon not badgammon.

Speaking of circles how do you think its coming along?

Remember:

P.S. The circles are the same size as the sample.
I hope it turns out just as cute <3

I solemnly swear to be crafty

I am swearing to myself to be more crafty.

I have been perusing the internet for awesome do-able crafts for me
These are some of my "I will start as soon as possible" projects

Now:

I am currently washing the fabric for this project as of right now.
Same design with hopefully my own favor.
& hopefully as cute.
The best part about the girl that made this is she was like...
I am not a perfect sewer... just fudge some of it. <3
A woman after my own heart.

Next:

<3 Love Love Love
probably won't make it a full blanket.
Maybe just a little wall hanging or maybe for the dresser.

Next:

I am going to step out of my comfort level and try to learn to make clothing.
plus I have the perfect fabric to make this dress oh so cute.

I stopped looking for the day so that I wouldn't get ahead of myself
(probably already have)

Reader's Choice

I need your help choosing Baby's Coming Home Outfit

Pink I love daddy or Red Cherries
For some reason I am leaning towards I love daddy.
But red cherries are equally as cute!

Oh Remember the SH#& Room?
Take a look at it now...
and some of our new baby furniture.

It still needs a lot of work (notice no room for a crib)
And we have too much stuff and not enough space so some things are not very baby.
I am hoping we move into a house of our own before late October
But if not, at least its clean and not filled with junk.

The dogs just think its more space for them to play in.

Be In The Know, Now.

Getting ready for World Refugee Day 2011 (On June 20th)
With a focus on women.

The following facts, supplied by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, illustrate the startling truth about the suffering of women

There are approximately 50 million uprooted people around the world - refugees who have sought safety in another country and people displaced within their own country. Between 75-80 per cent of them are women and children.
The majority of people flee their homes because of war and the proportion of war victims who are civilians leaped in recent decades from five per cent to over 90 per cent of casualties. Eighty per cent of casualties by small arms are women and children, who far outnumber military casualties.
Domestic violence is the most widespread form of abuse against women, with between one quarter and one half of women having been abused by a partner. Only 44 countries specifically protect women against domestic violence.
Females are subjected to widespread sexual abuse. In Bosnia and Rwanda rape became a deliberate aim of war. More than 20,000 Muslim women were raped in Bosnia in a single year, 1992, and a great majority of the female survivors of Rwanda's 1994 genocide were assaulted.
One in five women worldwide are victims of rape, many by known attackers. Between 40-60 per cent of sexual assaults are committed against girls younger than 16.
More than 300,000 youngsters, many of them female refugees, are currently serving as child soldiers around the world. The girls are often forced into different forms of sexual slavery.
More than 16.4 million women today have HIV/AIDS and in the last few years the percentage of women infected has risen from 41 to 47 per cent of the affected population. In sub-Saharan Africa, teenage girls are five times more likely to be infected than boys.
The introduction of sex education and safety procedures can have dramatic results. In Uganda, the rates of sexual infection among educated women dropped by more than half between 1995 and 1997.
The majority of trafficked people are women, especially those bound for the world's sex industries. Females are particularly vulnerable to trafficking because many have little individual security, economic opportunity or property or land ownership. Many victims are kidnapped or sold into slavery by their own families.
An estimated 45,000 households in Rwanda are headed by children; 90 per cent of them girls.
An estimated 1.3 billion people worldwide, 70 per cent of them women, live in absolute poverty on less than $1 a day.

Hey Best Friend

Remember when you wrote me this?

 i once new a woman, somer was her name;
she like men, preferably mexican, [but] they were all the same.
but [when] she told her mother;
and she firmly disagreed, she begged for she would have no other,
[but] she wouldnt have him no matter how much she plead but one day she snapped, into a frantic rage;
and her mother merly placed her back into her house, her plaster cage.

Good times.

Faja's Day

I know I threatened Franklin's life if he didn't get me a mother's day present.
Even though I am not technically a mother.
But I think he should buy me a present for being an present oven and future milk-cow.
But do I get him something?

Maybe just a nice relaxing day?
Filled with pizza, ice cream, & video games?
How extravagant do I get?

flowers? ha.
or maybe a spanish bugs bunny card like he got for me.

Baby Moon

So we decided to take a babymoon.
Because it is probably going to be our last peaceful, alone trip.
(for a while at least)

So we went to Vegas of all places...

We gambled...with fashion
We drank.... over priced drinks
We partied... in our hotel room

We are pretty wild.

I learned how bitter grapefruit juice is.

We got lots of candy from a store devoted to nothing but candy!

I wished to be big... he granted my wish but not cute like the Tom Hank's film

Franklin bought me an oyster I got to choose and keep the pearl from.
You can't really see it in this picture but I scored.

We met a lot of strange people & walked soooo much.
I overheated but Franklin was a trooper.

so pretty

I want my bathroom floor this detailed when tiled.

Seven Dollar Beatles' Love soda

We spent a lot of our time in our hotel room eating candy and watching the Casey Anthony Trial.

Luckily we did a lot of shopping and swimming
& made out like bandits.
This trip was actually real restful and fun & special.
This whole trip I have been trying to get Franklin to feel baby.
When we were at Beatles Love, baby was jumping around like crazy
and I put his hand on my belly and it kicked the hardest I ever felt.
He was super stoked.
Then the show started & the music was so loud I had to cover my tummy.
Baby was definitely dancing though.

The missing blog for memorial day

I love these kinds of holidays because the boy scouts put flags up and down our streets.

I am bummed I had to eventually work memorial day but at least I got to come out and play for a little bit.
I remembered my camera, but for got to take pictures.
& when I remembered at the end I told Franklin to run around and take lots of pictures for me.
The product:

Blog Shout Outs! Hope you all had a fun memorial day.
