After making my two dear sister in laws baby blankets for their new lovely little girls, I decided to start one make one. I was thinking maybe I will just work on it a little bit at a time until one day a I may have one. Then I started to think... by the time that happened it would be a giant blanket! So I am just working on it none the less and making it fun. Maybe I will just make lots of little details to have it take more time. I need to find the most perfect fabric for the backing, I can see it in my head and I feel like its real but I can't find it no matter where I look! So I am putting you all on a quest to look for some if you meander into a Jo Ann's or something... little red and green apples on a white background. (I am attempting to leave this blanket not gender specific... for obvious reasons)
I will post pictures soon.
I am actually excited for my birthday this year! I was thinking about asking for rosetta stone the French version up to level 5 or whatever but then I saw how much it was and almost died, I would have to trade in my first born child and its homemade baby blanket for it. Maybe it can be found on craigslist for less...
...or maybe a nice camera that can take video and pictures... mine is getting a little old and temperamental.
I was thinking about having a party too... like a themed party! maybe I should do a murder mystery party and cook a big dinner and have everyone over! or a pool party.... or a zombie party.... I will think about it... SAVE THE DATE! JULY 14th (Bastille day!)

Cheers to finding free wifi!!!
Franklin and I have been driving around from Casa Grande to Queen Creek installing sun screens on peoples homes and I have been 2 for 2 on finding free wifi in random neighborhoods. We took a small detour and stopped off at the Casa Grande ruins. It was built by the Hohokam people. It was pretty fun there were a lot of these cute little squirrel things running around. I attempted to befriend one and take it home with me... but Franklin said no. Driving around out here is very pretty and peaceful. The land is so lush and there actually is land down here, and there are purple mountains in the distance and big clear blue skies! Its funny for me to think about ancient native tribes, which I do quite often oddly enough. I think about what it would be like to live in a time with no television, no cars, no readily available food. I think its amazing the things they could achieve with just rocks and stones and we have come a long, long way! I also think sometimes how we look back on what we have learned about these natives and think about their customs as weird or strange... then I look at our culture and wonder if anyone will look back at our culture and think it is strange that we whiten our teeth or dye our hear red and pink and black and yellow. Often times I think no one will ever be in confusion about our civilization. I feel like there is way too much global information, so many books and the internet. Unless there was a mass collapse in civilization, or we moved to a different planet then maybe people would have to rediscover everything we know now. Just some thoughts....

An Ode To You... Yes, you....
I am excited I finally get to use a computer. I have no internet at home and my mom's computer spontaneously combusted so I was officially screwed there for a while. However, I am now at my in-laws house and "borrowing" their internet. I ran into a girl that I knew from MCC and I talked to her and one of the first things she says was, "I read your blog!" HA! All I could think was... wow I sure do get around! I don't know how many people read my blog unless they become "followers" (creepy as in cult 'o Somer's). I only have four followers which is kind of discouraging, but I am excited that I have a few faceless individuals who like to read about my life. So all I have to say is THANKS
Objectivism part I (dedicated with love to lindsay)
I have been studying objectivism ever since I have read Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged" and I can honestly say this book changed my life and that is why I wanted to study this philosophy to see what I agree and don't agree with. Objectivism isn't just a philosophy, but a way of life. Ayn Rand was born in Russia and lived the mists of their socialism, and as she was growing up she hated socialism and hated the system that Russia had, and she dreamed and dreamed of coming to America. She is one of the most fascinating people I have ever learned about because she doesn't necessarily find beauty in nature but more specifically in man made objects things that man had to create and use his mind to engineer.
Ayn Rand & Mike Wallace Interview
"Reality exists as an objective absolute that man's mind, reason, is his means of perceiving it, and that men needs a rational morality.... a morality, not based on faith, not on arbitrary whims, not on emotions, not on arbitrary edits, mystical or social, but on reason. a morality which can be proved by means of logic which can be demonstrated to be true and necessary."
"He must live to the independent judgement of his own mind that his highest moral purpose is the achievement of his own happiness, and that he must not force other people or accept their right to force him. that each man must live in an end within himself."
"Self sacrifice (altruism) is the precept that man needs to serve other to justify his existence, that his moral duty is to serve others... man is entitled to his OWN happiness and that he must achieve it himself but he cannot demand that others give up their life to make him happy nor should he to wish to sacrifice himself for the happiness of others."
"It is immoral if it is a love placed above oneself, it is more than immoral, its impossible, because when you are asked to love everybody indiscriminately, that it is to love people without any standard, to love them regardless wither they have any value or virtue."
"What would it meant to have love above self interest? it would mean for instance that a husband would tell his wife, if he were moral according the conventional morality, that i am marrying you just for your own sake, i have no personal interest, but I am so unselfish that i am marrying for your own good, would any woman like that?"
There are more great quotes from this whole video series but I thought I would just quote from the first video.
This is one of my favorite papers she has written and it explains about the economy in a way it is easy to understand and she is very clever and witty as well!

All in a days work...
Here is Franklin... hard at work. Generally, I like to go with him to work. At about one ish we go out for lunch and just hang out and talk and joke around. However, sometimes the fun and games begin earlier in the day....
HAH. I don't know why but Franklin wrote this on my stomach, I thought it was silly and thought I would teach him a lesson so I blogged it. MWHAHA. Its not always fun and games when we are at work I have proof that I help him at work... Somewhere...
Here's me... working diligently... I am supervising.

An Ode to my Husband
"I will share the world with you
Ever since I first saw you I knew
All the adventures we would ensue
Together, just me and you."
-S. Fox
I wish I could show everyone how awesome Franklin is. He is truly amazing, especially since he puts up with me :) I was thinking about how great he is yesterday when I went to work for him and I just wanted to Thank him for everything.
Franklin is one of the hardest workers I know! he works so hard so that we can have some extra money (My Hero)
to save and so that we can go buy Zombieland and ice cream
at Walmart. He is such a handy man, he is always picking up extra work.
One time he even worked forty hours within three days. I am so lucky that he has a good job and he wants a better life for us.
Another thing that really makes Franklin great for me is that he is so darn smart! He knows so much! I love talking with him about anything and everything, he really knows his stuff. He also knows a lot about history which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. He is so brilliantly creative, he will come home from working and he will have a whole idea for a story all written down in his journal, all written during his lunch break. YEESH! If I could do that I would be pulling a Stephenie Meyer right now!! And I can always ask him questions about anything I am confused about or want to know more about.... like whats going to happen in a movie that we both haven't ever seen before :))
He's goofy. He can be silly with me and not always be serious. He watches Disney movies with me and he can always make me laugh. We like being happy together and silly together and we don't care what anyone thinks.
He is a very good person. He is very honest and doesn't do destructive things (like smoking or drinking). He is very kind and helps others. He is also very objective in his thinking. *cough cough sexy cough*
Again, he puts up with me... that's a big one. haha. He always plays along with my crazy ideas and gets me water when I cry that I am parched or that its contaminated. He carries my purse when I need to use both hands or when its heavy. He kisses me when he leaves for work. And he always lets me know that he thinks I am pretty.
And he plays music. Which is always very sexy. :) and buys lots of books for me
How did I get so darn lucky??
