Chili Peppers/B-Day update

I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, because no matter how much I have changed, and no matter how long I haven't listened to them I can always come back to them and rock out. We are finally all moved out into our new home!

Yay! This is our pretty kitchen that my Mom and I worked on!

Half the house in unpacked and the other half looks as if a tornado was in our home, and it won't get all cleaned up until next week sometime because we are running away to Utah this weekend to visit Franklin's Grandparents!

Apparently, they have everything good.

Birthday Update:
Well for my birthday week, we began by packing, cleaning, and moving over to our new house. Then the night before Franklin came home from work and said, "Darn! I need to call someone will you go get my phone from my truck?" being such an awesome wife I said sure! so I went out to his truck singing and looked for it and it was under a pile of stuff. So I got it and went back side and gave it to Franklin. He just asked me, "did you just leave it out there?" I said no its right here!? he just looked at me confused. apparently my birthday presents were just sitting there over the phone and I missed them! But Franklin got me a camera (waterproof, shockproof, dirt-proof, freeze-proof) He knows me so well!!! In addition, he also got me an old old old copy of Atlas Shrugged!!! and my Learn French Program.

Then the day of my birthday my mom and I went to the casino (No, I did not loose) then we saw my brother and Cassy! Then we went out to dinner with my parents and played Shanghai with Franklin's parents!

And now we are going on our trip! Overall I would say an A+ birthday.
(I would have to say I definitely feel different being 21)

Life is good

Hopefully we will be moving soon into a little bit of a bigger place... ok a lot bigger. Which is exciting news! I can't wait to do some real nesting. Nesting where everything fits and not just crammed into one room.
Oh... and...
I suprised Franklin with a PS3. I know I am the greatest wife ever. haha. He came come from work and he told me he had a suprise for me... it was  game for him. HA! He is super cute! We stayed up almost all night playing video games. Our front room looks like a couple of college kids crashed there to play World of Warcraft for 3 days. (soda cans, donut boxes, pillows, and wrappers.)

The old and the new (mostly the old)

Well I was looking through all the pictures on my camera and was thinking that there were a lot of good pictures that weren't given justice and deserve to be on the "coveted" blog de Somer.

These pictures were just on a cloudy day and I was driving to and fro and was dangerously taking pictures as I was driving. Worth it for a few good pictures.

This pretty much sums up the day at the world's most happiest place! It was lots of fun. It was my first time ever being to a Disney anything, and Franklin and his parents brought me along.

FUNNY NOTE: It was before we were married so Franklin had to sleep on this pull out couch with the springs practically poking out and I slept on this big fluffy bed with hundreds of pillows.

This was Franklin's Birthday in 09 he turned 24 and he got a machine nerf gun.... you can tell he is totally stoked...

This is Franklin and I playing around well we were fixing up our first place that we lived in. A little rental right next to the temple...

NEW NOTE:  Hopefully we will be moving soon to something a little bit bigger. (You can help us move if you are willing to be paid in pizza.)

This is Brittany and I when we went to the PBR for the 200th time. We met her favorite person ever. Craig something something. He is somehow associated with PBR and bicycling (THAT'S BRITANY FOR YOU!)

This is one of the baby blanket I finished for a sister in law that I said I would post but never ever did.... I am a woman of my word.

update

I have been feeling kinda crappy lately and not really myself. So my goal number one is

  1. Be happy and don't worry about the things I don't have
  2. Be healtier
  3. Be more fun
  4. Figure out something I can do in the future (in the form of a career)
  5. Work as much as I can and save lots of money
These are probably all going to be difficult... but they need to happen!

I am currently reading "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and I am almost finished. I liked it, and I think I will start the next book, "The Girl who Played with Fire?" or something along those lines...

I am making a baby....blanket

After making my two dear sister in laws baby blankets for their new lovely little girls, I decided to start one make one. I was thinking maybe I will just work on it a little bit at a time until one day a I may have one. Then I started to think... by the time that happened it would be a giant blanket! So I am just working on it none the less and making it fun. Maybe I will just make lots of little details to have it take more time. I need to find the most perfect fabric for the backing, I can see it in my head and I feel like its real but I can't find it no matter where I look! So I am putting you all on a quest to look for some if you meander into a Jo Ann's or something... little red and green apples on a white background. (I am attempting to leave this blanket not gender specific... for obvious reasons)

I will post pictures soon.

I am actually excited for my birthday this year! I was thinking about asking for rosetta stone the French version up to level 5 or whatever but then I saw how much it was and almost died, I would have to trade in my first born child and its homemade baby blanket for it. Maybe it can be found on craigslist for less...

...or maybe a nice camera that can take video and pictures... mine is getting a little old and temperamental.

I was thinking about having a party too... like a themed party! maybe I should do a murder mystery party and cook a big dinner and have everyone over! or a pool party.... or a zombie party.... I will think about it... SAVE THE DATE! JULY 14th (Bastille day!)

Cheers to finding free wifi!!!

Franklin and I have been driving around from Casa Grande to Queen Creek installing sun screens on peoples homes and I have been 2 for 2 on finding free wifi in random neighborhoods. We took a small detour and stopped off at the Casa Grande ruins. It was built by the Hohokam people. It was pretty fun there were a lot of these cute little squirrel things running around. I attempted to befriend one and take it home with me... but Franklin said no. Driving around out here is very pretty and peaceful. The land is so lush and there actually is land down here, and there are purple mountains in the distance and big clear blue skies! Its funny for me to think about ancient native tribes, which I do quite often oddly enough. I think about what it would be like to live in a time with no television, no cars, no readily available food. I think its amazing the things they could achieve with just rocks and stones and we have come a long, long way! I also think sometimes how we look back on what we have learned about these natives and think about their customs as weird or strange... then I look at our culture and wonder if anyone will look back at our culture and think it is strange that we whiten our teeth or dye our hear red and pink and black and yellow. Often times I think no one will ever be in confusion about our civilization. I feel like there is way too much global information,  so many books and the internet. Unless there was a mass collapse in civilization, or we moved to a different planet then maybe people would have to rediscover everything we know now. Just some thoughts....
