A wee bit late on this (only three months whoops!) but you really get to see how much difference a year makes!

Elijah turns 2
I
Eli is two years old. And it's so cloudy and overcast out it reminds me of the day I went into the hospital to have him. He is the cutest nugget & he has the best smile. We have been partying all week! He loves cars movies and jumping on the couch with his sister.

Midcentury renovation
Don't mind the kids cup lid. I got this piece from the Salvation Army. I'm always scared to redo furniture and mess with the beauty of the originality of the piece, but someone already did some work on this one and it had the ugliest knobs.

Hexagon quilt
It's always bittersweet when I finish a quilt. The anticipation to finish grows especially when I'm sewing on the binding. I hand stitch the binding on which makes it feel like it takes forever, and when I finish I am a little sad. I feel as if I put everything into the quilt and now I have nothing to do. Nothing to work on. Until I start/work on another quilt of course.
I feel like this quilt was actually pretty simple and I am very pleased with the result.

Ready, set, school
Can't believe this little nugget is going to preschool. No tears to report. Just walked in like it was her business and took off her shoes. Eli and I are celebrating right now so we should probably be productive.

Elijah's Room
Confession: I've been going through all my pins and deleting and organizing them all. I'm pretty sure it's not normal, but I have been tackling the Pinterest "to-do list"
So we put in Eli's floor, painted, and put the wall stickers on. Hung curtains and pictures. There are still some little things that need to be done...eventually.

Antelope Canyon
I have been wanting to go to antelope canyon for a while now, so now I can check this off the bucket list. The only problem is I have come up with several other places I want to go and other things I want to do.
I think it's amazing how nature makes these patterns in the earth over thousands of years.
